Business Phone Systems Are Important Tools

What is one of the most important tools you will need for your business to be successful? Most people in business would throw out there a computer, a reliable multi-functional printer and scanner or maybe you would even consider an employee a great tool. But did you ever think of how any of that could be possible without business phone systems? Without phones, no customers could call for information, book appointments, place an order and ask for directions on your location.

Having a great phone system will also make life easier for yourself or any employees if you have them. The phones should have a great message to greet customers, a friendly sounding voice tree to direct them on what department they need and an easy to use voicemail system so they can get right to that department if they so desire.  Most people complain about a phone tree, but if you listen closely to their complaint it isn’t the phone tree itself, but an inefficient one where they are pressing all kinds of buttons and not reaching their desired location in a quick manner.

You could choose to have phones come right in to one receptionist, but it would make for a lot more work for them that was unnecessary. Phone messages can direct a call to the right area if they want to get the latest gadget from the sales department or if they want to consult with the marketing department on the latest news on the NASCAR circuit. When a call is guided to an area, it makes it more efficient for the caller. And then the receptionist can greet people who are walking in the door and perform other needed functions instead of looking in a phone directory and routing calls all day long.

When you are a small business owner that relies on the Internet to get the word out, how do you do it? Do you simply rely on your website to pull people in through search ranking? Do you advertise on other blogs? Do you even have a blog to promote your site and to get the word out about your products? If you answered no to the above, then it might be time to change your mindset. Or at least your webpage.

Online store software can help you get things sold, but you need the customers to get to your site to make the purchases in the first place. If you have the best NASCAR collectibles in the world, with autographed items and the best online deals, it won’t mean a thing if you have no traffic. No traffic to an ecommerce site is the death of a website and even a business if it doesn’t have alternatives.

When you have a product to sell, don’t simply list it with an item number. Give it a fun and quirky description. Promote it with a blog entry detailing the uses for it and how many ways it could be a great gift to someone else. The words will be picked up on the blog, so make sure to provide a link directly to the item. When both are looked at regularly, they will be more popular with the search engine rankings. The higher your rankings, the more noticeable you will be. And you can predict that the more noticeable you are, the more exposure you will have. The more exposure equals more customers which will buy things for your site. And it all started with a bit of software to get the products and items on your site! Who would have known…

Watching Nascar While Working Copywriting Jobs

Have you been out of the workforce for the last couple of years, because you raised a couple of kids for a few years? Great for you, but now that they are in school, it is time to find something to do outside of the house. Do you already have skills or a degree that you can rely on in order to get a job? Or do you have a few business ideas mulling around in your head that might be worth trying? If you are a mom and want to have some regular income coming in without coming to a full time job, you have lots of options.

Do you like to write? Do you enjoy reading and correcting what other people write more? There are ample copywriting jobs that you can do from the comfort of your own desk and computer. You just need to know where to find them. There are brokerage sites online that have jobs posted where you bid on them. These sites might have a membership fee or a fee per project that you bid on. When you can win several projects, then the fee is certainly worth paying.

When you can work out of your home, you still need discipline. You can’t sit on the couch and watch TV and expect to get jobs or have income rolling in. You can still spend your weekends sitting around and watching NASCAR races but you need to spend a chunk of the week days researching jobs, putting bids on projects you are qualified for and cultivating clients. The days should be at least halfway spent on getting business for yourself if you are serious about working and earning at least part time wages. It takes discipline, but when you are determined to make money it won’t be difficult.

Are you a huge NASCAR fan and watch as many races as you can in person and even on the track? NASCAR was a sport that grew in popularity during the early nineties and exploded in the late 90s and early 2000s with a ton of new fans, sponsors and team owners. NASCAR is an individual’s sport because only one person can drive the car, but it is also a group effort behind the scenes.

While NASCAR is a huge sport, it is also a bigger business for companies. There are a lot of business partnerships that have to be healthy in order for one NASCAR team to make it to the track week after week. Just look at the driver’s suit and you can see how many different relationships are going on. They have major sponsors, minor sponsors, weekly sponsors and products they need to plug each and every week they go out on the track. What happens if one of those relationships go sour? The team’s future on the track could be placed in jeopardy.

Are you part of a corporation or even a business owner who might like to consider being a sponsor or a limited sponsor of a NASCAR team? IN order to see if it is an option for you, request the team’s financial information and see if the return on the investment might be something you would consider.  You might be able to get in to a smaller NASCAR team’s business side with a few thousand dollars of investment money. The larger the team is, the more money it will probably require in order to get your logo or even your image on their car or driving suit. However, you need to look at the money spent as advertising, since NASCAR races are watched by millions of people each week.
